Fall in the Field: From Connecticut to the Cotswolds

Fall in the Field: From Connecticut to the Cotswolds

October feels different depending on where you are. But the shift - that deep breath of colder air, that hush that starts to fall over the field - is always the same.

This month, we’re reflecting on the places that inspired this season’s pieces: the rolling coverts of the Cotswolds and the gold-lit mornings of Connecticut.

In the Cotswolds, autumn comes in with confidence. It rustles through the hedgerows, softens the edges of old stone walls, and leaves a hush on the clay grounds. It’s where our spring/summer shoot took place, and where much of the inspiration for the collection began. That day, the light was crisp, the layers just enough. It reminded us what these clothes are made for - and who they’re made by.

In Connecticut, autumn is slower. The colours come like fire, then fade all at once. Mornings start earlier when you have a small child. Coffee cools faster, and you’re often halfway through your day before realizing the leaves have changed overnight. It’s less about pace and more about presence.

But in both places - whether you’re deep in the field or standing at the kitchen sink - October invites the same thing: to look up. To notice. To layer with purpose. To remember who passed these traditions down.

The Field to Fireside collection was born from this blend of worlds - British fieldcraft and American warmth.

Wherever you are this season, may your rituals be slow, your layers well chosen, and your mornings steady.

Early access to Field to Fireside begins in November. Sign up to the Field & Femme Collective to be first to preview.
